NOWHERE AND THE FIRST FIRE DEER
PROLOGUE & CHAPTER 1
The youngest fire foals with the brightest glowing spots like to ask to hear the story of the magick tamer who first befriended their kind, and the fire deer who burned the foes of the realm with her. The tamer’s name was Nowhere.
That was not her given name. At birth she had been bequeathed one of the unpronounceable names in the ancient tongue of the DelvKin. Ancient as the subkingdom from whence she came.
Banished to the cold Surface Realm after sympathizing with the "two-skin" prey during her first raiding party, she is taken in by a magick tamer who teaches her the craft helps her choose a new name. As part of her teachings she must summon her familiar. A fire deer appears, who cannot help but burn everything he touches.
CLEOPATRA AFTER LIFE
PROLOGUE
We all know the story of Cleopatra: her great love affair with the Roman general, Mark Antony, and her tragic demise by means of the often over-dramatized, never under-acted, bite of an asp to her breast.
This is where the story of Cleopatra as we knows it ends.
This book begins after her death, as she travels to the Egyptian afterlife and discovers that Mark Antony (whom she tricked into ending his life in a last attempt to save herself and her empire from the invading Romans) is not there. Though he died an Egyptian King, he was sent to the Roman afterlife instead.
Cleopatra must then defy the gods and travel undercover into the pit of Tartarus to rescue Antony with the help of her unlikely guide, the half goat, full nymphomaniac, Pan. But when she finally finds him, she discovers that her husband was not sent to Hades by accident. He chose hell over eternity with her.
How will she convince him to forgive her in death for her betrayal in life?
